Chanel Spring 2013 Shoes
The Spring 2013 Chanel collection was shown on an extravagant stage featuring a mock up of a wind farm and of banks of solar panels. It had a clean and fresh feel with an airy lightness that set the scene for a very refreshing Spring collection.
The Chanel shoes seen on the S/S13 runway were of two styles. There was one a black pointed Chanel stiletto with clear panels through the sides and across the foot. The other pair of Chanel shoes were a wedged sandal with either an open or a rounded toe and contrasting stripes through the Chanel heels. They had thin straps that fastened round the ankle and a chunky, futuristic feel.

The Chanel Fall 2013 runway shoes had saw a mix of textures, such as smooth leather in black or white and glossy PVC. There was also subtle use of the recognisable Chanel chain trim. The Chanel boots had chunky and blocked heels with either almond shaped toes or a sharp pointed toe. Chanel Icon Shoes
Probably the most classic and enduring Chanel shoe is the Chanel ballet flat. A perennial each season the Chanel ballet pump has been produced in every type and colour of leather, either with Chanel quilting or not, and often finished with a little bow and embossed CC logo. A modernised version this style comes as a Chanel espadrille, a two-tone summer shoes which has a thin platform and comes in canvas.
Some of Chanel's most striking shoes have achieved cult status. The house of Chanel is adroit at taking a classic shoe style and modernising it with something quirky and eye-catching. One such shoe is the 'Gun' shoe, as seen on Madonna. With a classic satin Mary-Jane upper this Chanel heel featured a silver metal gun-shaped heel. In fact Chanel often uses the heel of a shoe to add personality.
