One of Italy’s most important fashion houses, Domenico Dolce and Stefano Gabbana launched their world famous label in 1985. Inspired by classic Italian films and Dolce’s Sicilian heritage, their brand of va-va-voom sensuality brought sex to the world’s catwalks. Led by the motto ‘the bolder the better! The sexier the more successful!’ their early trademarks of corset style lacing, intense animal print and pinstripe razor sharp suits were an immediate hit with women who wanted to feel sexy yet strong. In the 25 years they have been designing, their style has matured into a more opulent sensuous one, making the label a favourite amongst budding starlets. The pair is also famous for their work with some of the music industry’s finest including Madonna and Kylie Minogue.
